Only Aussie actors wouldn't have thought twice about going to Times Square, pulling bucket bongs and going berko on the brown couch of dreams in what looks like one of the best photo shoots ever.
As far as I know, the producers were Jay Riedl and Tamara Lovett-Smith and Felafel NY's director was Sarah Gurfield. This was the early 2000s NYC beer-friendly Aussie Mafia, a long time ago, in a royalty cheque pissed far far away. According to the Hivemind, the original New York Felafelers were Nick Stevenson, Jeremy Waters, Jay Riedl, Tamara Lovatt-Smith, the Eliza Logan. Actually, that Eliza Logan shout out might be just a Google hallucination but I hope it's legit'. Behind some paywalls, a matured Nick rabbits on about acting opposite unknown actors like Pierce Brosnan, as well as his being forced to act to pay the rent in little known shows like Orange is the New Black.
Big production costs meant they didn't just have to rely on stolen milk-crates to make their stage furniture. They actually had a brown couch and shoes, fancy stuff like that.
Truly, everything looks bigger and the couches even browner in NY.
